SENIOR ACCOUNT EXEC - CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

Job Description : Accounts Executive (Full Set Accounts)

Employment Type : Full-time

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to handle full set of accounts in the construction industry. The role involves managing daily accounting functions, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will support project teams, monitor construction costs, and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and cash flow).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle progress claims, project costing, and variation orders in coordination with Project and QS teams.
• Verify subcontractor invoices, supplier payments, and ensure timely disbursement.
• Manage petty cash, staff claims, and inter-company transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile project accounts to ensure accuracy of costs vs. budgets.
• Ensure compliance with LHDN, SST, SOCSO, EPF, EIS, and other statutory submissions.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and internal financial planning.
• Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and filing systems.
• Support ad-hoc assignments from Finance Manager / Head of Accounts.
