This is a remote position.
As a Business Consultant specializing in Revenue Management (RM) and Trade Promotion Management (TPM), you will be a key driver in digital transformation projects for our clients in the Consumer Products (CPG / FMCG / Retail) sector. This role requires a blend of functional expertise in commercial finance processes and a strong aptitude for implementing complex enterprise solutions (e.g., SAP TPM, Oracle, or specialized SaaS platforms). You will be responsible for translating complex business problems into clear, actionable functional requirements that guide our technical teams.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Functional Analysis & Design
- Requirements Elicitation : Conduct workshops and detailed interviews with client stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Deduction Management) to map current state processes and define future state requirements for RM and TPM solutions.
- Solution Blueprinting : Translate business needs related to trade spend accruals, planning, forecasting, deduction management, and post-event analysis into detailed functional specifications and process flow diagrams.
- Gap Analysis : Identify gaps between the client's current business processes and the capabilities of the target RM / TPM technology platform, proposing actionable configuration or enhancement solutions.
- Data Modeling : Collaborate with data teams to define key data requirements and mappings necessary for trade promotion planning, execution, and analytical reporting (e.g., POS data, syndicated data).
2. Project Execution & Delivery
Stakeholder Management : Act as the primary liaison between the client's business users and the internal technical development team, ensuring seamless communication and requirement clarity throughout the project lifecycle.Configuration & Testing : Support the technical team during solution configuration and actively lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, creating test scripts and validating that the final solution meets all specified business requirements.Change Management Support : Assist in developing training materials, user manuals, and providing hands-on support to end-users during system rollout and adoption.3. Consulting & Domain Expertise
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in CPG commercial processes, including : Joint Business Planning (JBP), Trade Spend Optimization, Pricing Strategy, and Deduction Management.Contribute to knowledge base and proprietary methodologies related to RM / TPM solution implementation and process improvement.Requirements
Experience : 3+ years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting, or equivalent roles within the Finance or Sales function of a CPG / FMCG / Retail organization.Domain Knowledge : Proven expertise in Revenue Management principles, including detailed understanding of trade spend, promotion mechanics (BOGO, TPR), and post-event analysis.Technical Aptitude : Demonstrated experience working with and / or implementing major enterprise TPM / RM software solutions (e.g., SAP TPM, Pega, Vistex, or other specialized SaaS tools).Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.Skills : Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.Requirements
