Job descriptionBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Engineering, Business Administration , or related field. 3–7 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management , preferably within power plant, renewable energy, EPCC, or large‑scale infrastructure projects . Solid understanding of contract law , FIDIC , or equivalent standard forms of contract. Proven experience handling contractual correspondence, variations, claims, and subcontractor management . Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision . Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia , with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office ; experience with contract management systems is an added advantage. Willingness to travel or attend meetings at project sites as required.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to manage all contract-related matters for power plant and infrastructure projects . The role involves ensuring full compliance with contractual terms while coordinating closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full contract lifecycle—from pre-award to post-award—including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing agreements.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive tracker for contractual documents such as Letters of Award (LOA), Subcontract Agreements, and Work Orders, ensuring timely issuance and execution.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, relevant regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and assess potential contractual risks, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Projects, Procurement, Legal, and Finance) and external parties (contractors, consultants, clients) to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Track and report project progress against contractual milestones, ensuring adherence to terms and timelines.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation and filing systems for audits and internal reference.
- Assist in managing claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes to protect company interests.
- Provide documentation and support during negotiation or resolution phases.
- Support procurement activities by ensuring contract terms align with commercial and budgetary objectives.
- Monitor deliverables, payments, and obligations to prevent breaches or penalties.
- Analyze and address contractual issues during project execution, resolving routine matters independently.
- Escalate complex legal or contractual issues to the Contracts Manager or Legal Department as required.
