Cloud Security Specialist

Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (IT Security preferred). 4–5 years’ experience in cloud or information security. Hands-on experience with IAM, encryption, firewalls, IDS, WAF, DDoS protection . Experience managing secure Cloud Landing Zones (AWS Control Tower, Azure Blueprints). Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and regulatory compliance . Experience in incident response and forensic analysis for cloud environments. Familiar with container security (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge in disaster recovery and business continuity for cloud systems. Preferred certifications : AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Alibaba Cloud Security Engineer. Good understanding of API security (RESTful APIs, OAuth2, JWT, WebSockets, GraphQL).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS , Azure , or Alibaba Cloud .
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) with least privilege, RBAC, MFA, and access monitoring.
- Detect and fix cloud vulnerabilities using security tools like CSPM .
- Configure and maintain firewalls, WAF, and DDoS protection (e.g., AWS Shield, AWS WAF).
- Deploy and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and Key Management Systems (KMS) .
- Implement encryption for data at rest and in transit (TLS, AES).
- Perform OS hardening and patch management to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with security standards such as PCI-DSS , RMIT , and ISO 27001 .
- Manage API security (OAuth2, API keys, JWT, input validation, rate limiting).
- Define and enforce cloud security policies (AWS SCP, Azure Policy).
- Analyse security logs (AWS CloudTrail, Azure Activity Logs, Alibaba ActionTrail).
- Respond to security incidents and assist in forensic investigations .
- Stay updated with new cloud security trends and technologies .
