Warehouse Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement effective inventory control strategies to ensure accuracy of inventory levels and minimize inventory losses.
• Creates and maintains inventory records, monitors material movement, and makes timely adjustments to inventory locations and quantities.
• Team Leadership and Coordination : Lead, train and motivate the warehouse team to ensure that each member is clear on their responsibilities and objectives. Coordinate team efforts to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Order Processing and Distribution : Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound orders. Coordinate with sales and logistics to ensure orders meet customer needs and are shipped on time.
• Equipment and Facility Maintenance : Oversee the proper functioning of warehouse equipment and ensure its regular maintenance and upkeep. Ensure safe and efficient use of facilities within the warehouse.
• Quality Control : Implement quality control standards to ensure that the quality of products and goods within the warehouse meets company requirements. Address and report any quality issues and take corrective action.
• Safety Management : Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure that the working environment within the warehouse complies with relevant regulations and standards. Train team members to follow safety procedures.
• Reporting and Analysis : Collects and analyses warehouse operational data, provides reports, evaluates performance, and makes recommendations for improvement. Ensure timely reporting of key metrics of warehouse operations to upper management.
• Problem Solving and Improvement : Tackle problems in warehouse operations and take urgent action while proposing and implementing long term improvement plans. Look for opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Supply Chain Coordination and Optimization : Coordinate closely with supply chain and logistics departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Look for opportunities to optimize supply chain processes to improve overall efficiency.
