Job descriptionDegree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or any other quantitative fields, and in the process of attaining an internationally recognized actuarial qualification Excellent academic track record (First class or equivalent) 3 - 5 years of relevant experience with an (re)insurance firm, consulting firm or financial services organization Working knowledge and experience in at least 3 core Actuarial areas in General / Health (Re)Insurance including IFRS17 : ERM, Capital Modelling, Reinsurance, Regulatory Reporting (Valuation, FCR, ICAAP, RBC) etc Strong technical and analytical skills Detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills to be able to work on projects independently with minimal guidance Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Highly motivated, committed and goal oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office, and preferably ResQ and / or other actuarial / modelling / programming tools Strong command of English (verbal and written)
Job Responsibility
- Lead or support key actuarial functions, including IFRS 4 valuation, IFRS 17 reporting and implementation, Financial Condition Report (FCR), Stress testing, and Planning and Forecasting
- Perform statistical analyses, build and maintain actuarial models, monitor and analyze data trends, and interpret results to support strategic business decisions.
- Provide technical actuarial advice and lead or support the IFRS 17 implementation for Tune Protect Group and related entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Support the Statutory Role of the Appointed Actuary for Tune Protect Malaysia and related entities, including peer reviews, analysis, and liaison with external auditors and regulators.
- Manage and / or conduct ad-hoc actuarial analyses and provide technical support and guidance to group entities as needed.
- Mentor and guide junior actuarial team members, fostering their technical and professional development.
