Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client Khean Seng Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the quantity surveying aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost-effective and efficient project delivery. What you’ll be doing?

Review and manage : Construction plans, preparing quantity requirements, and scrutinizing maintenance and material costs.

Liaising and advising : With site managers, clients, contractors, and advising on new strategies and improvements.

Documenting and preparing : Reports, budgets, risk assessments, and tender quotations.

Managing contracts : Overseeing contract administration, negotiation, and enforcement, and handling disputes.

Ensuring compliance : Ensuring all works are in accordance with contractual requirements and managing sub‑contractors.

Who are they looking for?

QS Experience : Minimum 5 years’ experience in QS role with proven expertise in quantity surveying and construction projects.

Educational Background : At least bachelor’s degree in business studies or any related field.

Language Skills : Fluent in English and Malay for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and clients. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Strong Communicator : Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders and manage relationships.

Detail‑oriented : Ability to meticulously review contracts, budgets, and project documentation.

Problem‑solver : Skilled in resolving technical and contractual issues and providing effective solutions.

Proactive and adaptable : Ability to handle ad‑hoc tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.
