Audit Assistant Manager

Job descriptionProfessional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CA(M) or equivalent). Minimum 4–6 years of external audit experience, with exposure to tax compliance. Strong technical knowledge of MPERS, MFRS, IFRS, ISAs, and Malaysian tax regulations. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with audit and tax software is an advantage. High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review audit working papers, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Review tax computations, tax submissions, and related working papers.
- Ensure compliance with MPERS, MFRS, IFRS, ISAs, and Malaysian tax regulations.
- Identify gaps, risks, and inconsistencies, and provide practical solutions.
- Act as a quality checkpoint before partner review and sign-off.
- Provide feedback and guidance to audit seniors and associates.
- Mentor and coach team members to improve audit and tax quality.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, auditing, and tax laws.
- Collaborate with teams to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Support partners in managing engagement risks, billing, and client communications.
