Responsibilities
- Identifying, assessing, and solving complex business problems within the cloud computing domain, requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Performing security design reviews to assess the implications of introducing new or differing technologies, particularly within cloud environments.
- Gaining experience in cloud process automation and standardization to enhance operational efficiency and security posture.
- Leading the identification of a client’s high-level business needs and creating detailed functional specs and documentation, including requirement traceability matrices, workflow diagrams, and use-cases tailored for cloud solutions.
- Designing new business processes based on customer requirements, conducting user review sessions, and running stakeholder agreement meetings, applying thought leadership in cloud transformation.
- Driving enterprise business, application, and integration architecture with a focus on cloud solutions, facilitating the transition to modern, cloud-based environments.
- Enabling architecture transformation, illustrating and guiding the journey from the current state to a “to-be” enterprise environment optimized for cloud technologies.
- Architecting solutions in key public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, ensuring design and implementation support the strategic business goals.
- Implementing programs to prepare the organization for adoption of new business processes within a cloud-first approach.
- Participating in client presentations and proposal defense, effectively communicating the benefits and strategies of cloud adoption.
- Deepening understanding of public cloud vendor cost models and best practices in cost optimization and financial operations (FinOps) within cloud deployments.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Foundational knowledge in technology and its practical applications.While not required, an MBA from a prestigious institution is preferred, particularly with a concentration in Technology Management, Information Systems, or a related area.Minimum of 4-7 years of large-scale consulting experience in roles involving cloud computing architectures, solution architecture, DevOps practices, and integration strategies, including experience managing teams and projects within a consulting framework or innovative tech companies.Experience
Cloud Assessment : Experience in cloud readiness and maturity assessments, evaluating cloud solutions / platforms, planning application migrations, designing cloud operating models, developing business cases, and performing TCO and vendor evaluations.Cloud Architecture : Ability to evaluate cloud providers, design architectures, develop reference architectures, target state architectures for public and private clouds, and build microservices with domain-driven design and containerization.Cloud Migration : Experience planning and managing cloud migrations, validating application dependencies, and delivering migration roadmaps with a PM perspective; knowledge of migration patterns such as Re-host, Re-platform, and Re-factor.Cloud Native : Cloud-native development, including design, architecture, and integration considerations; proficiency in DevOps practices and data integration across cloud platforms.Cloud Deployment : Hybrid cloud architecture design, integration, and security.Technical Proficiency : Deep understanding of end-to-end cloud infrastructure, including storage, compute, databases / warehousing, data governance, security, and API / Microservices management.Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), virtualization, and SaaS / PaaS deployments (Salesforce, SAP).DevOps / Agile, cloud management platforms (e.g., vRealize, Gravitant), and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).Certifications : Cloud architect certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred.Client Engagement : Experience with large clients in US / UK&I regions preferred.Key Competencies and Skills : Strong desire to work in technology-driven business transformation; knowledge of technology trends across IT and digital; interpersonal and presentation skills; team-oriented; thought leadership; client relationships; problem-solving and rapid value drivers understanding; travel flexibility.Key Competencies and Skills
