Job description

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.

Develop project budgets and work to ensure the project stays within the financial limits.

Tender and Contract Management :

Prepare tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities for contractors to bid on.

Evaluate contractor bids and make recommendations for awarding the contract.

Cost Control and Monitoring :

Monitor project costs and ensure they align with the budget.

Manage any changes in project scope that may affect costs (variation orders).

Prepare progress reports and financial forecasts for stakeholders.

Valuation and Payment Certification :

Carry out interim valuations and prepare progress payments to contractors.

Ensure that contractors are paid fairly and on time for work completed.

Risk and Value Management :

Identify and manage risks related to project costs.

Advise on cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements without compromising on quality.

Feasibility Studies and Advising on Legal Matters :

Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate project viability.

Ensure all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts and project execution.

Assist in resolving disputes between contractors, clients, and other stakeholders related to project costs or contracts.

Requirements :

Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Chinese female candidates are encouraged to apply
