JOB SUMMARY

Chemist III will lead analytical research related to treated water quality, including the development and implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs. He / she will be responsible for conducting research to enhance analytical methods and processes for drinking water analysis. As part of continuous improvement efforts, he / she must liaise with the District / Regional Technical Manager (TM) regarding water quality issues, particularly in cases of violations and remedial actions. Directly report to the Head of Section and involves reviewing and improving the laboratory’s quality system. He / she must possess knowledge of the tasks under their supervision, along with a solid foundation in chemistry principles, technical expertise, and relevant skills.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Laboratory Documentation

• Responsible in documentation setup related to lab operation and maintenance
• Assist in reviewing method of analysis for lab testing
• Establish technical requirement of lab analysis e.g. measurement uncertainty, method validation & verification, quality control and etc.
• Responsible in maintaining and setup form, worksheet, check list and etc. on current basis.
• Ensuring all the testing certificates issued within “Turn Around Time” that has been agreed.
• Responsible in combination of Quality Manual, Quality Procedures & Test Instruction from all Regional Laboratories
• Responsible in reporting results for test of samples during pollution / ERP
