We are seeking a seasoned and experience Project Leader to join our Transformation Office, based in Malaysia, to lead our Project Portfolio Management team that covers projects across our core markets in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. This is a high-impact role, responsible for shaping and driving regional project portfolio management dashboards, owner of our project management guidelines and partnering closely with our delivery teams to support project excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment of projects with strategic priorities, manage interdependencies and traceability of projects with key business metrics
- Ensure effective performance monitoring by developing and maintaining project portfolio management dashboards and reports, tracking project health, benefits realization, portfolio KPI metrics, and list of pipeline projects
- As part of annual strategic planning cycle, to work with country business partners to understand business priorities and needs, and objectively assess the relative priority for each projects
Project Management Office
Develop and ensure ongoing refinement of the project management guideline, processes, uses of dashboards, templates, keeping aligned with group-wide policies and standardsMonitor projects, programmes and portfolio to ensure compliance with project procedures, guidelines and templates, and that projects are keeping to schedules, budgets, and business outcome expectationsProvide ongoing support and escalation for project managers and portfolio directors to resolve impediments and roadblocksEstablish a Project Management Community of Practice to celebrate successes, facilitate cross-team learnings, and encourage feedback for continuous improvementConduct regular training and community of practice sessions to engage the broader project management community to promote project excellence cultureDevelop ground-up initiatives as part of continuous improvement to uplift productivity, accuracy and completeness of insights and evolving the team to take on higher value workLeadership & Team Management
Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and pro-actively partnership of direct stakeholdersDefine the training roadmap and competency matrixes to outline the training and career pathways for the teamSupport the Head of Transformation Office to mentor and grow the PMO team, and evolving the team from governance-centric to drive meaningful and visible business impactWe are looking for people who
Minimum of 12 years of experience in delivering large IT / digital projects, with a minimum of delivering 5 major and complex projectsCertification and strong knowledge of project management (e.g. PMP, Agile, PRINCE2), and portfolio management (e.g. PfMP, P3O)Prior experience in financial services and in working with regulators such as MAS and BNMProven ability to lead geographically distributed teams, manage stakeholders at senior levels, and influence strategy directionProven track record managing large portfolio of projectsStrong team player with attention to detail, resilience under pressure and an adaptable and resourceful mindset.Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsHow you succeed
