Overview
Process Excellence Execution Specialist (Malaysia, India) at Standard Chartered. The Process Excellence team, part of Group Transformation Office, requires a Process Excellence (PE) Execution Specialist to participate in project delivery, focusing on PE activities and deliverables. Provide support during the initiation and design / analysis of a process-related initiative, working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify pain points and challenges in the current state and design future state to transform and reinvent processes to drive value for clients, colleagues and shareholders. This role supports standardisation, simplification, and digitisation across the bank and contributes to process optimisation (waste elimination, process simplification, digitisation and automation).
Responsibilities
- Deploy standard PE capabilities, supplemented with advanced techniques where necessary (e.g., Voice of the Customer, Lean Six Sigma) to assess current state, identify pain points from client and colleague perspectives, and design future state.
- Define key metrics to compare process performance (baseline as-is vs. 1–2 years vs. North Star) from the perspective of clients, colleagues, risk & control, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead current and future state design for processes in-scope and drive a culture of transformation using the standard PE playbook, methodologies, templates and tools.
- Collaborate with BU / Function stakeholders, SMEs and project teams to conduct detailed analyses leveraging transformation levers (e.g., demand elimination, process simplification / automation, org design / location) and articulate outcomes using standard performance metrics.
- Influence and inspire colleagues to drive transformation, continuous improvement, and SCB transformation capabilities; act as an agent of change.
- Champion the Group’s values, lead through example, and establish an appropriate culture and expectations for the team and partners.
- Support change in mindset toward process excellence, client / colleague centricity, agility and accountability with standardized metrics; ensure ownership of outcomes across the Bank.
- Establish governance, transparency, tracking and communications around PE activities and deliverables.
- Identify, assess, monitor risks; support the development and implementation of controls and mitigation plans.
- Embed high standards of ethics and ensure regulatory and business conduct compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Minimum 5 years in the project / programme management space, supporting or delivering mid-large size, complex initiatives in financial services.Experience in conducting current state analysis and future state design.Subject matter expertise across Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Wealth Retail Banking (WRB) or Functions key processes.Knowledge and experience running PE activities and deliverables, leveraging VOC, Lean, Six Sigma, Zero Based Design.Ability to run workshops effectively and project delivery experience.Project management and change management experience.Knowledge of SCB ways; strong influencing and communication skills (oral, written, presentation).Can-do attitude, diligent and detail-oriented; growth mindset with ability to experiment and learn quickly.Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work in a global service delivery model with onshore / offshore resources.Confident and proactive in raising / escalating issues in a professional manner.About Standard Chartered
