Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional Accounting team at Marsh McLennan . This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to :

Assist in day to day accounting functions and processes as well as reporting of financial information according to the accounting principles and practices and regulatory environment and ensures these principles and practices are applied in the daily work.

Prepares journal and approves offshore journal entries, consolidated statements and client carrier reconciliations

Investigate and resolve customer accounts / Insurers / Reinsurers issues and attend to queries raised by Country Finance, Broker or Underwriters

Responsible for reviewing and assessing payment requests submitted by various departments within the company

Responsible for processing payments in the relevant bank platforms. This will involve accurately inputting payment details, verifying payment instructions, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of payments.

You will play a key role in cash flow management by assisting in the preparation of cash forecasts. This will involve monitoring cash outflows

Responds to ad hoc requests for financial information as well as operational analysis using various reporting tools as consistent with a global business leader

What you need to have :

Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in  Accounting / Accounts Payable in a multinational company.

Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency
