Key Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the establishment of the Risk Management Department, including designing the organizational structure, defining role allocations, leading recruitment for key positions, and budget planning.
- Responsible for the daily management, professional training, and capability development of the risk management team, fostering a rigorous risk culture.
- Take the lead in establishing a comprehensive risk management system covering credit risk, operational risk, compliance risk, etc.; formulate risk control policies, standard procedures, and processes.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and Business teams to design end-to-end risk control mechanisms for Hire Purchase business, including fraud prevention, credit underwriting, ongoing monitoring, early warning, and collections management.
Risk Strategy Formulation & New Business Access
Direct the development and validation of scorecard models, formulate risk control strategies and approval authorization systems, monitor approval quality and the effectiveness of approval decisions, and optimize strategies.Conduct risk assessments on new products and businesses, and adjust risk control policies and strategies accordingly.Monitor key risk indicators and retail asset quality, establish early warning mechanisms, and achieve key indicators such as delinquency rates and NPL ratios.Formulate risk reporting mechanisms, regularly report the company's overall risk control status to the management and shareholders, and support strategic decision-making.Credit Reference & Compliance Management
Establish and improve credit reference management systems, including credit information submission, inquiry, and complaint handling, and complete relevant personnel training and self-inspection.Ensure all risk activities fully comply with Malaysian financial regulatory authorities, and be responsible for responding to relevant regulatory reports and inspections.Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred. Holders of professional certifications such as FRM are preferred.A minimum of 10 years of risk management experience within the financial industry, with at least 5 years specifically in an automotive finance company or a bank's risk management department.Prior experience in building a risk control team and establishing a risk management framework, familiar with the Malaysian financial regulatory environment.Excellent quantitative analysis and modeling skills; proficiency in machine learning is preferred.Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia with the ability to conduct excellent business communications.
