Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment in compliance with Chargeman responsibilities and statutory requirements.
Inspect, maintain, and repair utilities and facility systems (plumbing, compressors, lighting, power distribution).
Carry out maintenance for hostels and dormitories in Penang.
Oversee the upkeep and roadworthiness of company vehicles.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies promptly to minimize downtime.
Planning, Scheduling & Coordination
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and machine checking to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Prepare and manage facility service schedules (air-conditioning, fire protection system, lifts, security systems, etc.) and ensure timely execution.
Supervise and guide maintenance technicians, working alongside them on daily tasks.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the security team, ensuring discipline and safety at all sites.
Manage spare parts, tools, and equipment inventories.
Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, facilities, or security services.
Safety, Compliance & Emergency Leadership
Act as the Safety and Emergency Leader, responsible for fire drills, evacuation plans, and emergency response readiness.
Serve as the company’s Person-in-Charge (PIC) for DOSH inspections and audits.
Ensure all maintenance and facility activities comply with OSHA, DOSH, and other statutory requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices are strictly followed.
Implement practical solutions to improve reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
Develop and implement predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, condition monitoring) to reduce unexpected breakdowns.
Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
