Testing & Commissioning Manager - Data Centre

Job Description

• Review detailed design documents, basis of design, system sequence of operations, and vendor test scripts.
• Draft customized testing and commissioning plans for Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and Heat Load Testing (HLT).
• Review submitted test scripts and coordinate with the Commissioning Agent (CxA) for timely approvals.
• Lead Testing & Commissioning (T&C) meetings, ensuring LLE and domestic vendor submittals are accurate and complete.
• Develop and manage T&C execution plans that meet data centre requirements and align with project specifications, covering IST and HLT phases.
• Lead, monitor, and coordinate vendor T&C activities by clearly outlining requirements and expectations throughout the entire T&C lifecycle.
• Establish, update, and maintain best practices for safety, quality, testing, and commissioning to ensure cost-effective and compliant solutions.
• Define commissioning procedures and standards, and conduct regular construction site inspections to monitor safety, QA / QC, construction progress, and commissioning practices.
• Maintain effective communication and provide regular reports on QA / QC, commissioning progress, issues, and KPI metrics to senior management.
• Manage commissioning meetings and activities involving vendor project managers, incorporating lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of safety, scope, schedule, and budget for all commissioning activities and report on progress accordingly.
• Compile and submit the final IST report upon completion (if within the project scope).
• Support compliance with Uptime Institute requirements to achieve the Tier Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF), where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure smooth handover following successful IST completion.
• Report project progress, identify potential risks, and prepare internal and external reports detailing job status.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Testing & Commissioning.

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a related engineering field.

Able to handle level 1 to level 6 testing & commissioning data centre
