Responsibilities
- Review and manage all tax submissions.
- Manage tax‑related documents such as import service tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, and tax computation submitted to government departments to ensure compliance with company regulations, tax law requirements, and approval procedures.
- Assist in transfer pricing documentation, Country‑by‑Country reporting, and Global Minimum Tax.
- Take full ownership of MIDA tax incentive applications, with a proven track record in securing and maintaining Pioneer Status, and prepare and coordinate the submission of all required documentation and responses to LHDN and MIDA.
- Deal with tax authorities on tax issues, providing internal tax advisory and support to management.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities to minimize tax expenses / maximize tax savings.
- Timely input expense vouchers, classify and account by department / project to ensure clear accounts.
- Continuously review and improve tax‑related processes, controls, and documentation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Guide employees on filling out reimbursement forms in compliance with regulations and answer related expense questions.
- Collaborate with the budget team to monitor departmental expense execution and warn of overspending risks.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Finance, Accounting or a related field.Minimum of 3‑5 years of tax experience, familiar with the manufacturing industry.Previous working experience in a Big 4 or leading accounting firm is highly advantageous.Excellent proficiency in MS Word & Excel (proficient with Oracle and Excel).Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin speaker is an added advantage.Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Seniority level
