Responsibilities
- Responsible for automation solution execution, guiding junior engineers on planning, development and implementation of project engineering for internal and external customers.
- Assist sales on technical consultation and coordination of projects.
- Project Execution : execute engineering development for projects, including control system integration and consultation, project kickoff and scheduling, generation / candidate / approval of IO listing and engineering drawings, and program development for PLC, HMI, SCADA, including testing and debugging.
- Carry out FAT, SAT, site testing and commissioning.
- Project Documentation : ensure engineering development meets quality expectations and safety standards; plan, organize and conduct project meetings and training as needed; coordinate engineers or subcontractors for site work and prepare field service reports.
- Project Planning : plan and execute projects within stipulated man-days and quoted schedules, ensuring profitability with double-digit margins; assist sales on control system configuration, integration and cost insights.
- Continuous Improvement & New Solution Development : identify key improvement areas in project deployment, standardize programs using templates, enhance project management skills, and upskill knowledge in assigned product lines and solutions; improve engineering work processes for easier future deployment.
- Collaboration with Sales : work with sales and management to identify customer challenges, conduct system testing (POC), presentations and trainings; provide technical support on control system configuration, troubleshooting, and training for SI partners, distributors and customers (training kit, manuals / materials).
- Documentation & Data Management : maintain high-quality documentation, update programs, drawings, FAT / SAT / Field Service Reports, and store in Project Storage; track and update hardware assets (loaned, stock, or customer samples).
- Reporting : report project implementation progress and deliverables to the Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Industrial knowledge with experience in manufacturing processes.Deep understanding of PLC / SCADA / Networking technologies.Strong programming skills on PLC, HMI, SCADA, and network configuration.Excellent problem-solving skills.Site electrical and electronic troubleshooting capability.Networking, connectivity and integration of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, FinS, MQTT).Software programming : Python, Java, SQL, etc.Seniority level
