Global Logistics Manager – Kuala Lumpur
We are looking for a Global Logistics Manager who will coordinate and manage the full scope of global logistics operations, focusing on shipments from our Chinese and Vietnamese factories to our U.S. warehouses. This role is one of two key positions being hired in Malaysia to build our regional operations team. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, highly organized and able to collaborate cross‑functionally with U.S. and Asia‑based teams in operations, product, and accounting. As a foundational role in our new global supply chain team, the candidate must be comfortable in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment and passionate about building processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, manage global freight strategy, and optimize container consolidation.
- Track purchase order shipments and manage milestone updates within supply‑chain platforms (e.g., Anvyl, Palantir).
- Coordinate customs clearance, audit freight invoicing, ensure landed cost accuracy, and prepare shipping documentation.
- Lead import / export operations, freight forwarding negotiations, and last‑mile delivery planning.
- Maintain global shipment tracking dashboards and provide real‑time logistics visibility to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain reports and KPIs to track logistics performance, costs and transit times.
- Coordinate directly with U.S. logistics and finance teams to align on cost efficiency, transit times and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement scalable global logistics workflows such as factory‑direct‑to‑Amazon (FBA) shipments and duty drawback programs.
- Identify inefficiencies and create, document and implement new processes to improve operations.
- Create a custom paddle program with local factories and coordinate shipments.
- Collaborate with and support accounting department with supply‑chain and logistics requests.
- Work with local software developers to improve and customize supply‑chain logistics IT tools (e.g., Palantir).
Qualifications
3–5 years of global logistics or supply‑chain management experience, with proven regional or global exposure.Strong understanding of export / import documentation, customs requirements, Incoterms and freight forwarding.Thrives in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment; comfortable building systems from scratch.Excellent communication skills; English proficiency required.Proficiency in Mandarin is required to coordinate with regional partners.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or equivalent) and supply‑chain management platforms is a plus.Hands‑on, solutions‑driven professional able to manage multiple responsibilities across logistics functions.Analytical mindset with strong ability to optimize cost, lead times and operational efficiency.Strong organization and planning skills with high attention to detail.Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with U.S. and Asia‑based teams.Why Join Selkirk Sport
