Job Summary
The Farm Maintenance Executive is responsible for overseeing the upkeep, repair, and improvement of farm facilities and equipment. This role ensures that all farm infrastructure, mechanical, and electrical systems are well-maintained to support smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in maintenance work, strong problem‑solving skills, and the flexibility to travel between farm locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Farm Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on farm equipment, buildings, and utilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all farm infrastructure, including water supply, ventilation, and feeding systems, is functioning optimally.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for major repairs and maintenance work.
2. Preventive Maintenance & Safety Compliance
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of farm assets.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and farm biosecurity standards in all maintenance activities.Conduct periodic safety checks on electrical and mechanical systems to prevent hazards.Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades or new farm development projects.Support the installation and setup of new farm equipment and systems.Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.4. Mobility & Flexibility
Willingness to travel frequently to various farm locations for maintenance work.Be available to work outside regular business hours, including weekends, to handle emergency repairs.Job Requirements
Education
Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering , or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance work, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting.Experience with farm equipment, ventilation systems, water supply systems, and electrical wiring is an advantage.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems .Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and fix issues efficiently.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple maintenance activities effectively.Familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus.Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with farm staff and management.Other Requirements
