Assistant Manager, Payroll - Korea

The Assistant Manager, Payroll - Korea will serve as the primary expert on South Korea’s payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices. This role is responsible for guiding payroll processes, supporting client implementations, ensuring regulatory adherence, and optimizing payroll operations. This position will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive process improvements and provide expert support for payroll-related matters. Additionally, this position will oversee payroll processing for South Korea, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Oversee and execute end-to-end payroll processing for South Korea, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs.
• Maintain compliance with the local labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure proper calculations for statutory deductions, benefits, and remittances.
• Conduct payroll reconciliations, audits, and compliance checks.
• Stay updated on changes and implement necessary payroll adjustments.
• Assist in onboarding and implementation of payroll solutions for Korean clients.
• Advise clients on payroll best practices, configuration, and process optimization.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
• Work closely with internal teams (HR, Finance, Implementation) to align payroll processes with business needs.
• Identify inefficiencies in payroll operations and implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Support payroll automation and system enhancements, collaborating with IT and product teams.
• Develop and maintain payroll documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
• Act as a trusted advisor for payroll-related inquiries from internal teams and clients.
• Provide training sessions on Korean payroll regulations and system usage.
• Work closely with external partners, including payroll vendors and government agencies.
