A finance professional responsible for collaborating closely with business users and the Finance Outsourcing Centre (FOC) to oversee and manage day-to-day finance operations. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial reporting and operational deliverables that support strategic management decision-making.
The employee will manage the month-end close process, oversee the reporting and accounting activities handled by the Finance Outsourcing Centre (FOC) and preparation and submission of financial reports and analyses to management. The role also involves managing all areas of Accounts Payables and proactive engagement with stakeholders to address finance-related matters and provide financial advice and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Finance Outsourcing Centre on month-end close activities, preparation of management reports, statutory audits and corporate tax filings and other financial reports required for statutory compliance or internal decision-making.
- Support the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly group reporting packages to headquarters.
- Assist in group consolidation activities, including review and reconciliation of group consolidation reports and data.
- Engage with internal business users to address finance-related matters and provide advisory support on financial processes and solutions.
- Manage Accounts Payables processes, including invoice processing, ageing analysis, and performance monitoring in coordination with the FOC.
- Oversee vendor creation requests and support treasury in AP-related matters.
- Act as a liaison for internal and external audits, including statutory, tax, and internal audit processes.
- Prepare and submit information for corporate tax returns and relevant tax schedules.
- Assist in the implementation and adherence to new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes.Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task effectively.External audit experience is an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
