- Job Description
- 1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- The
- Lead, MIS
- is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure, systems administration, and digitalisation initiatives. This role provides strategic leadership in maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable IT systems while driving innovation through digital transformation. The position ensures effective governance of IT operations, data management, and system integration to support FGVSSB’s business growth and operational excellence.
- 2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- IT Infrastructure and System Management
- Oversee the design, maintenance, and performance of all IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, network, and security systems.
- Ensure the integrity, reliability, and availability of all IT and digital platforms.
- Supervise system backups, data recovery, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT issues in coordination with internal teams and vendors.
- Digitalisation and System Development
- Lead the implementation of digitalisation initiatives across departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and deploy new digital tools, workflow systems, or applications aligned with operational requirements.
- Oversee system integration, database management, and digital filing systems to ensure data consistency and accessibility.
- Promote a digital-first culture through training, awareness, and structured process improvements.
- Vendor and Project Management
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure effective delivery of IT and digital services.
- Coordinate and supervise IT-related projects, ensuring timely completion within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Evaluate and approve IT procurement, maintenance, and system enhancement proposals.
- Data Governance and Security
- Ensure compliance with corporate data protection policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks to safeguard company information and digital assets.
- Monitor and report on system vulnerabilities, access controls, and data usage trends.
- Leadership and Team Development
- Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to the IT & Digitalisation team.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the department.
- Identify competency gaps and drive capability-building initiatives related to IT systems and digital transformation.###
- 3. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree
- in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional certifications
- such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or cloud / digitalisation credentials are an advantage.
- Experience :
- Minimum
- 5–7 years of experience
- in IT operations, system administration, or digitalisation initiatives.
- Proven experience leading or supervising IT projects, infrastructure management, or workflow automation systems.
- Strong background in vendor management, system development, and IT governance.
- Experience in developing and implementing digital transformation strategies.
- Skills and Competencies :
- Strong technical proficiency in IT infrastructure, network systems, and application management.
- Knowledge of workflow automation, ERP systems, or cloud solutions.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity, accountability, and adaptability to technological change.
