SAP ABAP Consultant (Automotive)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our automotive SAP team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between functional consultants and technical development, ensuring business requirements are translated into efficient ABAP solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, business process understanding, and excellent collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with functional consultants (MM, SD, FICO, PP) to analyze business requirements and prepare technical specifications .
• Design, develop, and enhance ABAP programs, reports, forms (SmartForms / Adobe), interfaces, conversions, workflows, and enhancements (RICEFW objects) .
• Provide technical solutioning and advisory on whether requirements should be met through standard SAP or custom development.
• Collaborate with automotive business teams to implement solutions for EDI, Just-in-Time (JIT), Vendor / Dealer integration , and other industry-specific requirements.
• Support IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Web Services, CDS Views, and OData development.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices.
• Support S / 4HANA migration projects , including custom code remediation and adaptation.
• Provide documentation, conduct unit testing, and support UAT and go-live activities.
