Technical Support Specialist

About the role

Apar Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our growing IT team in our Kuala Lumpur office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems and applications are functioning efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure all endpoints are solidified, encrypted, and compliant with security standards, including Solid Core activation and memory protection.
• Monitor antivirus status, investigate alerts, remediate threats, and maintain up-to-date virus signatures across all endpoints.
• Enforce unique BIOS and Windows passwords, manage scheduled and on-demand changes, update BIOS firmware, and restrict boot settings.
• Encrypt all endpoint hard drives, ensure communication with the HDE server, monitor for non-compliance, and confirm all terminals show a "Fully Encrypted" status.
• Review and act on monthly reports covering virus detection, encryption status, and password changes to ensure continuous compliance.
• Manage end-to-end deployment activities, including request initiation, post-deployment validation, and stakeholder communication.
• Serve as the primary contact during deployments, provide updates, address concerns, and maintain accurate records of procedures and outcomes.
