Job Description
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) located in Flex PTP . Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes by providing technical support and maintaining manufacturing methods during the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Experience in Injection Moulding machine and Process, mould setup, troubleshooting, and process control.
- Exposure in mould testing, optimisation, and establishing nominal processing parameters to achieve quality and cost‑effective products.
- Knowledge of engineering plastics materials, preparation for processing and ensuring parameters are optimised for any material changes.
- Monitor and ensure cycle time, down time to meet target output, efficiency, yield and minimise rejection.
- Analyse and assist sub‑moulders to reduce unwanted stoppages to achieve yield, efficiency and minimise rejection.
- Evaluate tool performance and propose actions to improve productivity and propose tool repair to reduce reworks and achieve output.
- Evaluate and oversee new process, equipment, and tool in production at supplier sites and train key personnel if required.
- Assist sub‑molders to troubleshoot process‑related issues and provide effective problem‑solving on a daily basis.
- Establish robust process control and process parameters, review processing methods and suggest productivity improvements.
- Implement a safe production environment at supplier sites to improve productivity.
- Participate in activities to ensure FDA compliance, improve cycle time, reduce rejection and improve yield.
- Review daily production output and delivery requirements with planners / purchasers to achieve on‑time delivery.
- Participate in daily and routine meetings, providing necessary data related to production outputs, downtime and quality–related issues.
- Perform any jobs assigned by higher management and prepare reports upon request.
- Willing to travel to supplier sites to monitor production activities.
Qualifications
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training in Injection Moulding Process.Typically requires 3 years of experience in Injection Moulding.Use of the following tools may be required : electronic assembly tools, colour coding, component and schematics.May require various PCB operations : testing (oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, component testing, logic analyser), inspection (bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools) and mechanical & electrical tools (taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools).Benefits
