Job description

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our complex Unix / Linux infrastructure, including high availability solutions, automation, and continuous improvement of technical processes.

Job Description

Install, configure and operate our complex Linux / Unix Infrastructure within our worldwide distributed data centers, including high availability solutions.
Automate and continuously improve all technical processes.
Perform availability and performance monitoring, including creation and customization of dashboards and alerts.
Troubleshoot and solve problems as part of 2nd and 3rd level support in cooperation with internal customers and IT security support for the implementation of hardening / protection of the server systems and the running services.
Consult on technology for our customers and create architectural concepts and implement them.
Take over (sub-)projects independently from the design phase through development to productive usage.
Create technical documentation, training and training material.

You are best equipped for this task if you have :

Your Profile

Successfully completed a university degree in technical computer science (alternatively mathematics, physics with IT relevance) or have appropriate further training / relevant experience as an IT specialist.

At least 3-5 years of professional experience in similar environments – ideally IT in a highly critical production environment.

Good knowledge of one or more of the following IT tools : Ansible, Python, Rundeck, Git, Bitbucket, Puppet, Foreman, Kibana, Zabbix.

Good knowledge of one or more of the following operating systems : Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Solaris, HP-UX.

First experiences in project management.

Willingness to rotate on call (24x7).

Independent, structured and methodical way of working.

Very good English communication skill.
