The successful candidate will have strong business acumen with experience in CFCC - Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance Risk Analysis and Advisory, risk assessment, monitoring, and advisory across regulatory and policy interpretation, change risk management, and data / analytics led risk practices. This is a global role covering the SCB footprint across Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, spanning multiple businesses including Retail Bank, Private Bank, Affluent & Wealth Management, Transaction Banking, Banking and Financial Markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and assess CFCC risks; measure exposure and design, build, and recommend control frameworks to mitigate risks and enable risk response or remediation.
- Monitor dynamic changes in risk and control environments and generate insights to enable operational or tactical risk response.
- Perform targeted deep dives into material or emerging risk areas due to changes in threat profile or business strategy.
- Manage issues and events, conduct root cause analyses, remediate vulnerabilities, and improve the control environment.
- Assess CFCC risks introduced by business changes and proactively mitigate to enable sustainable growth.
- Provide CFCC risk advisory in areas such as policy, regulation, business or product change to support sustainable growth.
- Provide actionable risk insights and recommended actions to Business, Products, Clusters and Countries Compliance and Specialist teams to drive risk-focused decisions.
- Collaborate with CFCC Product Owners to continuously improve products and services using regulatory technology and data analytics.
Strategy
Contribute to the development, support, and implementation of the CFCC Professional Services vision and the bank’s strategic direction and growth.Work with CFCC Product & Professional Services, CFCC Coverage & Specialist Teams and Business Risk Managers to identify risks across the Bank and drive appropriate action.Business
Build and maintain constructive relationships with CFCC Product & Professional Services, CFCC Coverage & Specialist Teams and Business Risk Managers to provide timely and high-quality CFCC risk advice.Support integration of Professional Services into the Bank’s overall CFCC Risk Management strategy and serve as a go-to person for risk assessments and monitoring.Work with stakeholders to provide oversight support and enable sustainable CFCC outcomes; ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with CFCC advisory models.Deliver high standards of regulatory compliance and align initiatives with the Professional Services performance scorecard.Develop advanced expertise in CFCC risk, related business and product risk, and global regulatory frameworks.Skills And Experience
12+ years of overall experience in Banking, Financial Institutions, Regulator, Fintech, or equivalent.5+ years in at least one of the following areas : Conduct or Compliance or Financial Crime Risk management.Advanced practitioner experience in Data Risk, Regulatory Conduct, Market Conduct, Client Conduct, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Sanctions, and Fraud controls.Experience in Business or Product or Operations Risk Management with exposure to Conduct or Compliance or Financial Crime and / or risk operations disciplines.Strong communication, collaboration and risk governance skills; ability to balance detailed analysis with big-picture thinking.Industry certifications in CFCC (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) and applicable business / product risk domains are a plus.About Standard Chartered
