Key Responsibilities
Analyse, plan and optimize international transportation routes and familiarize on the route efficiency and road restriction.Knowledge and mastery in distribution and transportation issues, as well as understanding of international legislation and regulation and ensure compliance with international regulations related to transportation and trade.Performing research and analysis to optimize transportation processes, ensuring convenience and motorist safety.Obtain a knowledge regarding all the related cost and factors that drive the costs to transportation such as fixed cost, variable cost and cost drivers. Importantly to be able to monitor transport costs and identify areas for cost reductionAble to analyze new project that related to capital expenditure (Capex) and operational expenditure (OPEX), subsequent from there to come out forecasting data for management review.Identify hidden costs that are contributed to additional expenses during the final leg of delivery process that will impact of inefficiency transport process and being able to conducting risk assessment of transport system. Provide insights and recommendations to upper management based on data analysis.Participate in distributing budgets, maintaining databases, training new workforce members, developing new programs and projects.Capable of forecasting or data comparison between hired 3PL services or in-house transportation.Conduct logistical studies and data analysis evaluations and use comparison data to recommend strategies for future logistic solution.Analyze transport management system historical data and trends and forecasting for future planning.Primarily in charge of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of current systems, being able to conducting risk assessments of transport systems and recommending and implementing solutions on problem areas, and performing risk assessments.Being able to solve problem or incidents in an agile way. This implies having a good and quick response to change.Manage the development, performance and maintenance of the organization's transport to produce an efficient so as to maximizing performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed targets.Present data summaries or report and proposals to stakeholders and play an active role in cross-department collaboration.Effective liaison, support and assistance with the whole of the organizationJob Requirements
Requires at least 7-10 years of experience involving transportation coordination and planning or equivalent experiences in supply chain industry.Required to travel internationally.Works logically and systematically to solve problems, make decisions and think laterally and flexibly with the ability to manage sustainable change.Experience negotiating with vendors and contractors.Strong organizational and presentation skills.Sound knowledge of transport policy and regulatory framework.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as manage people; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Maintains a positive attitude to continued learning and growth
