Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Windows) at Hytech in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Responsibilities

Ensure high availability and performance of Windows infrastructure, applications, and services. Design, architect and implement Windows AD policies, optimization and hardening in Windows environments. Automate repetitive tasks, workflows, and deployments using scripting. Deploy observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch) for system health monitoring. Manage workload patching strategies. Provide technical guidance and support across the internal team. Collaborate with cross-functional business units to ensure processes align with organizational standards. Qualifications

At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an SRE, Wintel Engineer, or in a similar role. Expert in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other similar languages. Experience with Windows on-premises environments; on-premise experience is a plus. Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP / IP, routing) and Windows Server core services (AD, GPO, Registry Key, Sysinternals). Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS Lambda; experience is a plus. Certifications in Microsoft Windows Server, security, or other infrastructure areas are advantageous. Shift rotation is required with extra compensation. Ability to speak and converse in English; Chinese language skills are a plus. Senior / Employment Details
