The Account Executive will be responsible for managing full-spectrum accounting functions across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting. The role includes handling intercompany transactions, payroll, customs compliance (LMW), and financial operations support. The incumbent will liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax agents, and bankers, while ensuring efficient internal financial processes. The role reports to the Head Accountant, SG WCP.
Financial Accounting & Month-End Closing
- Prepare and maintain timely and accurate monthly closing.
- Review accounting entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
- Monitor and manage inventory stock cards and perform stock adjustments as needed.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and support intercompany cash allocations.
Customs Compliance (LMW)
Attend LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) meetings with Customs officers and ensure alignment with audit requirements.Prepare, renew, and sign-off on monthly LMW reporting and assist with license renewals.Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of LMW-related reports.Intercompany Transactions & Cash Flow Management
Record and reconcile transactions for assigned entities within the group.Manage intercompany cash allocations and maintain monthly consolidated cash flow statements and forecasts.Inventory Management
Support in inventory accounting and reconciliations between the general ledgers and physical stock recordsIdentify and investigate inventory discrepancies, including negative stock balances, unrecorded goods receipt, or duplicate postingsReview and post inventory corrections for count variances, valuation adjustments, and system errors, maintaining full audit trail and management approvalEnsure cut-off accuracy by reviewing GR / IR accounts, goods-in-transit, and unbilled inventory itemsPlan, coordinate and execute period stock takes ensuring compliance with group and statutory inventory policiesReconcile inventory variances and post corrections.Support external and internal auditsLiaise with auditors, company secretaries, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, logistics partners, and other external stakeholders.Prepare and submit relevant financial documents and reports for audits, compliance, and statutory requirements.CANDIDATE PROFILE
Educational Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are advantageousExperience
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a group of companies or in a dynamic business environment.Experience in inventory management and manufacturing industryExperience with LMW compliance and intercompany transactions is preferred.Background in financial reporting is an asset.Technical Skills
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of LMW procedures, local tax, and statutory regulations.Strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and reconciliations.Soft Skills
