The Construction Manager (MEP) oversees the comprehensive lifecycle of MEP construction projects, ensuring efficient project planning, execution, and handover. This role requires expertise in managing mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with site teams and contractors, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the entire MEP construction lifecycle, including planning, execution, and handover phases. Evaluate MEP construction methods for cost-effectiveness, monitor budget adherence, and produce regular progress and financial reports.Collaborate closely with external consultants to ensure effective design and construction of MEP systems within data centers, covering HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing and other critical infrastructure.Oversee adherence to all relevant permitting and government authority requirements for MEP projects.
- Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the project team.
- Implement advanced project management and quality control techniques to optimize M&E project outcomes.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale MEP projects, with strong knowledge of HVAC, power systems, fire protection and plumbing.
- Expertise in MEP systems, local authority approval processes, and testing and commissioning of critical infrastructure in data centers, including Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Solid understanding of CAPEX planning, cost estimation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) for M&E systems in data centers.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
- Proficiency in project management tools, MS Project, and MS Office, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, collaboration, and resilience under pressure.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages in the APAC region are advantageous.
- QUALIFICATIONS
