Job descriptionDevelop, coordinate and execute the operations projects with local authorities, project supervisors, consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors within the Malaysia including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. Drive the end-to-end process of the project assigned from project confirmation up to project completion. Responsible for project functions included but not limited to Project Management, Site Management, Project Control Management, Engineering Management, Procurement, Construction Management, etc. are all coordinated and properly staffed to meet the project(s) goals. Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the project(s). Coordinate and communicate projects group as needed on major projects within Malaysia. Coordinate with upper management on status, significant trends and changes of approved projects. Establish the working relationship with O&M team needed to facilitate the coordination and execution of project work, such that the operational impact is minimized. Ensure safety and QA / QC programs are established by all parties and maintained and conduct reviews of detailed design drawing and specifications. Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule. Participate in and lead risk assessments and actively manage the risks of the projects and the business. Prepare project estimates, budget, schedules and execution plans. Preparing the engineering budget, project schedules and project control budgets for projects. Prepare and submit reports on the progress and status of the projects. Maintain effective and on-going communications with construction and contractor teams. Establish the QA / QC control and commissioning systems with documentation. Perform other project engineering and project management related duties. Conduct engineering site survey for solar PV system installation. Coordinate with designer on the design of the solar PV system including but not limited to electrical, structural and mechanical. Plan and manage material purchase and subcontract via ERP system. Liaise closely with inter departments involved for the project completion. Liaise and manage sub-contractors for their scope of works, schedules and monitoring workmanship qualities or subcontractors during installation. Work with internal and / or external parties such as TNB, consulting firms, local authorities licensing matters and documentation. Liaise and coordinate with TNB HQ & local authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection of solar PV system. Setup remote monitoring system and conduct test & commissioning of the solar PV system. Organize a post mortem meeting for evaluation of project results, challenges faced and provide recommendations for future improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (Preferably electrical engineering or working related to electrical)
- Working experience in construction field, TNB or Project management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project engineering or a related field, with a focus on solar energy projects. However, we encourage fresh graduates to apply.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and related engineering standards.
- Proficient in project management tools and software, such as MS Project and AutoCAD.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
