Overview
Head of Continuous Improvement, Malaysia. A Continuous Improvement leadership role reporting to the Head of Operations Excellence. The role provides proactive leadership to deploy continuous improvement frameworks and initiatives, ensuring compliance with mandated processes. Implement XSITE, Operations Standards, and labor management tools. Conduct improvement studies, train on Lean / CI tools and methodologies, and collaborate cross-functionally. Manage complex CI projects and build strong relationships within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to team members and ensure governance of all Continuous Improvement initiatives within the area of responsibility.
- Drive initiatives across Operations Standards including Health and Safety, 5S and visual Management, Performance Management, Process Management, Business Continuity and Continuous Improvement.
- Design and deliver effective training for LEAN tools and methods including 5S, A3 Problem Solving (PDCA / DMAIC), Value Stream Mapping, and basic Lean introduction.
- Lead CI workshops on business processes (CL / Warehousing), Inventory Slotting projects (ABC Analysis), A3 Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and 8D Problem Solving.
- Lead and implement operational improvement initiatives focused on productivity and eliminating waste at the operational level.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by following up on ongoing initiatives and maintaining strong relationships with the Operations team. Support Lean activities and CI initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on site CI project submissions and advise on Lean tools and strategies to address operational challenges.
- Maintain a systematic training and coaching approach to grow skills, capabilities, and expertise within feasible timeframes.
- Develop and implement metrics to monitor and reduce non-value-added tasks and deviations from standard processes. Track performance metrics related to the CI / OE Scorecard and KPIs.
- Manage all aspects of complex CI projects from identification to execution, prioritization, testing, hand-over, tracking and reporting benefits.
- Travel as required for projects (interstate or overseas).
Qualifications
University or Polytechnic graduate in Logistics and Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or a relevant technical field.At least 8 years CI experience in logistics / 3PL, with Lean expertise in warehouse / shop floor environments and digitalization knowledge.Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading complex Logistics Operations, 3PL and supply chain roles, including P&L accountability.LEAN Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) and Project Management (PMP preferred).Advanced proficiency in LEAN methodologies and tools (5S, A3, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Ishikawa diagram, FMEA, root cause analysis).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps).Excellent facilitation, moderation, and training skills; strong persuasive skills for stakeholder presentations.Self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.Willing to travel interstate and / or overseas on project assignments.#J-18808-Ljbffr
