Overview
What you will do : As a Junior QA, you’ll be the key point of contact for all QA task assigned to you for a variety of projects. You will learn, grow in familiarity with quality assurance and develop skills in carefully verifying expected application outcomes & finding bugs.
Responsibilities
- Key point of contact for all QA allocated task within the assigned project team.
- Reviewing assigned requirements, specifications, technical design documents and QA reports to understand test requirements.
- Understand the solution requirements with guidance from seniors, developers & project team members, hand‑on testing, writing test scripts and test scenarios.
- Identify, log, record, document thoroughly and track bugs. Verify bug fixes and update QA documentation.
- Work with engineering team to conceptualize build, test (functional, regression, integration) and identify risk and develop mitigation plans.
- Work closely with project team. Refer to Sr QA for additional guidance and support.
- Perform smoke test, sanity test and thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and keep the team informed.
- Develop, apply and execute testing processes for new and existing applications & projects.
- Ensure that all quality information, risks, and challenges are communicated proactively & timely via project reporting.
- Show initiative to learn basic coding required for SQL and automation testing. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Periodically identify, recommend, and implement improvements to the quality management processes.
- Work comfortably & flexibly within a dynamic, challenging environment to meet client delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
Fresh entry level candidates are welcomed.1‑3 years in software quality testing with hands‑on quality testing and quality engineering experience.Experience in executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies.Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle and interest in test cycles (unit, regression, functional, systems, stress & scale, smoke & sanity).Strong comprehension, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.Deep familiarity with the digital environment.Good team skills – a positive & supportive team player.Additional Information
