Overview
Senior Facilities Engineer responsible for planning, budgeting, supervising facility equipment, and leading facilities-related projects. Oversees solid waste operations, government audits / inspections related to facility equipment and fire fighting systems, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of facility tasks.
What a typical day looks like
- Handle facility equipment plan, budget, job follow up and evaluation of completed work (compressor / chiller / air conditioning systems).
- Lead the Solid Waste Operation team with a group of operators; manage waste material movement control, operation, data collection, weight system accuracy, and costing reports.
- Manage government agencies audits / inspections related to facility equipment and fire fighting systems.
- Collaborate with other facility team members and provide feedback to ensure tasks are completed smoothly.
- Follow up on monthly utility cost reports; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Join and support inter-department meetings or job activities to resolve facility-related issues.
- Analyze facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
- Analyze engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
- Evaluate feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, space, time, and other technical and economic factors.
- Provide technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations to support long-range plant and product engineering planning.
- Compile and analyze facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
- Stay informed on engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of industry developments.
- Use computer-aided design software and tools to perform engineering tasks.
- Lead projects and project teams.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
