The School of Film and Performing Arts at Sunway University is seeking a dynamic, experienced Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Film (Production) to join our innovative, expanding BA (Honours) in Digital Film Production programme.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking curriculum that reflects the evolving landscape of screen art and digital storytelling. Our programme is built on a foundation of practice-based learning, creative experimentation, and industry engagement.

We are looking for a candidate with professional experience in film production, particularly in directing, cinematography, editing, and post-production who is enthusiastic about mentoring students, developing cutting-edge curriculum, and building industry partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate modules in film production.
• Supervise student projects and provide academic and creative mentorship.
• Contribute to curriculum development, with a focus on innovation in areas such as film production, digital storytelling, and digital workflows.
• Undertake research and / or creative practice that contributes to the department's academic profile and external recognition.
• Develop and maintain industry partnerships to support student employability, internships, and collaborative projects.
• Participate in departmental activities, including assessment, quality assurance, student support, and academic advising.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the programme and support cross-disciplinary initiatives within the faculty.
