DevOps Engineer

What\u2019s the role?

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing the full DevOps lifecycle, including system operations, monitoring, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC). This role ensures the availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud and on-premises systems. The ideal candidate is skilled in AWS technologies, containerization, CI / CD pipelines, and security best practices. They will collaborate with development teams to optimize infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational excellence.

What does the role involve?

• System Deployment and Operations

Automate, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based and on-premise systems, focusing on availability, performance, and scalability.

Design and manage CI / CD pipelines using GitLab CI / CD , integrating with development workflows for automated builds, tests, and deployments.

Implement and maintain monitoring solutions, including Datadog , to track system health, performance, and metrics.

Recommend and implement improvements to system architecture and operational processes, emphasising scalability and efficiency.

Work with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with security standards and successful completion of audits and penetration tests.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2 , RDS , S3 , CloudFormation , EKS , Lambda , and IAM .

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
