Overview
We are looking for a Flight Operations Engineer to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; or Bangkok, Thailand. This position supports the Global Support Center and the Global Strategic Initiatives goals for the country and region. The engineer develops, interprets and communicates fleet operation data and provides guidance on airline flight operations engineering to Boeing internal and external customers, stakeholders and regulatory entities to contribute to safety, capacity and efficiency in the aviation industry. The role focuses on enhancing Boeing support in the region through workshops, seminars and technical consultations, building strong relationships with executives and program leaders in country.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Boeing fleet to advance safety and promote efficiency to meet increased capacity requirements.
- Collect and evaluate operational data (e.g., airplane performance, flight profiles, takeoff / landing performance, noise profiles, weight and balance, operations with missing or inoperative equipment) and develop methods for delivering data in customer-required formats.
- Research regulations related to flight operations, develop required data and evaluate suitability with customers and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate with external personnel to learn expectations and seek optimized solutions for customers.
- Participate in aerospace industry organizational activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, exchange operation data and lead proactive solution recommendations.
- Assist customers and Boeing in preparing for delivery of new equipment and / or types of operation; collaborate with sales and marketing to provide customer solutions and identify revenue opportunities.
- Recognize that duties may change per management requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers / partners and internally within the team and with management.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor degree with major in aerospace engineering or related field.At least 5+ years of flight operation engineering experience in civil aviation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong knowledge of airplane systems and structure, airplane performance software and applications, and airlines operation processes and procedures.Professional skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and strong coordination / presentation abilities.Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations; good judgment, discretion and flexibility in work hours; willing to travel domestically and internationally.Self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics and a track record of working under time constraints; strong team player.High standard of honesty and integrity.Preferred Qualifications
Airline Performance Engineer with knowledge of airplane performance and weight & balance.Special procedure development (EOSID, Driftdown and Oxygen Analysis) and airplane performance instructor experience.Instrument Flight Procedure Design background (PBN and / or traditional procedure design).Airplane load control management and loading schedule development.Relocation
This position offers one-time relocation based on candidate eligibility.Work Authorization
