The main responsibility of the Manager, Logistics & Warehouse is to lead, supervise and manage Logistic and Warehouse teams in maintaining and improving an effective, efficient and successful operation in meeting the Annual Operating Plan and KPIs in terms of demand, sales, inventory, cost and profitability in a safe manner.
Responsible and accountable for the performance of Logistic in all aspects and sits in Site Leadership Team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
He / She will be the main contact person in negotiating with the custom departments on any shipment, maritime and custom related matters.
As the management leads for Logistics & Warehouse, he / she need to ensure the company is in compliance with all company, regulatory and industry requirements which encompass but not limited to the company ethics and compliance guideline, LMW Requirements, ISO / FSC Standards and other relevant companies and customers requirements
He / She will be responsible and accountable to lead in providing long, mid and short term strategy and plan to maintain and improve the warehouse operations with smooth inbound / outbound goods shipments.
Update material run and track times within ERP System in order to promote and maintain MRP integrity
Evaluate current Logistics & Warehouse processes and assist with necessary changes to improve product availability and operational efficiency
Monitor sales forecast changes and new product introductions to proactively ensure sales demand is satisfied and raw material and finished goods obsolescence risk is minimized
Develop and monitor raw and finished goods inventory to ensure product turnover to support FIFO
Establish action plans to monitor and improve factory KPI’s
Actively participate on the site leadership team.
Responsible for leading, managing and coaching his / her team members in ensuring that the team plan and execute the short, mid and long term plan and focus on the group personal, professional and career development.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree or related discipline. Competency in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma or Technical Degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum 8-10 years working experience in similar functions in highly pressurized and customer driven operations. Candidates with diverse work experience in operations and Logistic & Warehouse management will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years in managing people and a team with size of 20-40 employees.
Knowledge and skills in Quality Management System, Environment Management System, ISO9000 and ISO14000.
Someone who has strong values on safety and integrity, be highly empathic but at the same time able to demonstrate result orientation with good service mindset value. Knowledge and skills in Logistics & Warehouse cost analysis and management.
The candidates should have good business acumen with good financial understanding as this position will require multiple decision makings which will use both competencies.
The candidates must be capable of demonstrating situational leadership and make decisions with minimal data and supervision when required.
High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple priorities based on business needs.
Strong demonstrated critical thinking and logic skills, problem solving and attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
Motivation, reliability, assertiveness and structure.
Proactive and able to perform the tasks assigned independently.
Multitasking and being able to handle multiple priorities.
Work well under pressure.
Excellent communication skills. Good writing and fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia.
