Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions of the organization. This includes financial planning, budgeting, reporting, auditing, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Handling full set of accounts and perform month end closing in a timely manner within the account team.
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and records. Manage company’s financial accounting process and ensure compliance with accounting standard and practices.
- Prepare, monitor, and control the company’s budgets and forecasts. Identifying risk areas for improvement and drive the forecasting planning whenever necessary.
- Ensure effective cash flow management and optimize the use of financial resources.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements for cost efficiency and profitability.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees all aspects of human resources practices and processes (payrolls, benefits administration etc.) by ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy and business planning. Support management in risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Supporting any ad-hoc tasks when required by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA) preferred.Proven accounting experience for 5–10 years in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software.Strong analytical and numerical skills.Good organizational skills, high integrity, keen attention to detail and aptitude for problem solving.Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative working style and team-player attitude. Able to lead, train, and develop the finance and accounting team.Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment.Able to write and communicate in English, Malay and Mandarin.Work Location
