Overview
Engineer II (Test) role at Ultra Clean Technology . UCT is a rapidly growing company in the semiconductor industry. This role supports the production build of heater products on the manufacturing floor and the test process to ensure product quality. It involves planning and conducting independent work in customer qualification, evaluation, process application and adaptation of manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria. The position may require leading projects and mentoring cross-functional team members in manufacturing processes and technology.
Location : Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supporting the production build of heater products on the manufacturing floor and test process to ensure product quality.
- Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in customer qualification, evaluation, process application and adaptation of manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Devise new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs; monitor work for compliance with build and quality standards.
- Lead projects and mentor cross-functional team members in manufacturing processes and technology.
- Maintain broad knowledge of heater jacket process in semiconductor industries, especially weldment manufacturing test process.
- Familiarity with SEMI specifications, especially in heater jacket process.
- Establish processes for weldment manufacturing and create work instructions for weldment processes.
- Investigate manufacturing-related issues to improve product performance and productivity.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and create process control plans, PFMEA, and risk assessments.
- Troubleshoot problems and provide corrective solutions in compliance with POR and CE compliance.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Equipment, and Quality departments to drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and cycle time.
- Initiate and support Design for Excellence and manufacturing process improvement / standardization.
- Engage with IE to optimize layout and product floor layout for new and existing plants.
- Implement Lean line concepts with relevant jigs and fixtures.
- Provide technical problem solving and support for quality issues and first-pass yield issues.
- Participate in product transfer : coordinate training, understand equipment and facility requirements, and meet build and test requirements.
- Liaise with Engineering and Materials departments on specifications, BOM, and material changes / issues.
- Liaise with Quality on supplier and customer quality issues, including RCCA and 8D preparations.
- Coordinate with customers on BOM / drawing / design issues by generating problem reports and deviation requests with summaries.
- Attend MRB meetings, justify dispositions, analyze data, and work with relevant departments and suppliers to reduce non-conformance.
- Have CAD knowledge to analyze 3D drawings from customers.
- Initiate engineering change and waivers as required; work in ERP for engineering master control and change management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Lean Manufacturing Principles; Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment.Experience in using ERP systems.Able to interpret weldment manufacturing drawings with welding symbols and develop correct weldment routing processes.Experience leading small teams to achieve project success.Good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team.Educational / Certification Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Materials / Metallurgy / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Industrial Systems Engineering from a recognized university.Experience Requirements
1 to 3 years of relevant experience; exposure to semiconductor industry preferred.Experience in setting up lean lines is very important.Ability to manage full BOM structures (more than 1,000 lines).Self-motivated and resourceful with a can-do attitude.Ability to build positive working relationships within the team and with other functional groups.Demonstrates good workmanship according to industrial standards; strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Willingness to perform other tasks as assigned by management; adheres to work ethics and integrity.Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
