SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and highly committed individual to take on the role of both SEN Teacher and Assistant Teacher. This role involves supporting the strategic development of the school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision and overseeing its day-to-day implementation.

Tenby Tropicana Aman is located in an attractive green setting in a suburban area of Tropicana Aman, just outside of Kuala Lumpur. With currently 500+ students on role, age 3 -16 across primary and secondary, our vibrant and dynamic school continues to grow and has already fostered a happy atmosphere and strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

• Classroom Support : Deliver lessons and activities, provide one-to-one or small group support to SEN students.
• Student Care : Support students with personal, social, or physical needs, encourage independence and confidence in learning.
• Behaviour & Engagement : Motivate and engage students during lessons.
• Preparation & Resources : Prepare learning materials, teaching aids, and resources as directed by the teacher, assist in adapting materials for SEN students.
• Monitoring & Feedback : Observe and report students’ progress, challenges, and behaviour to the SEN teacher, contribute to the development of IEPs by sharing observations.
• Teamwork : Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff, participate in training and development sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Education and specialization or certification in Special Needs Education, minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years working directly in Special Educational Needs or Inclusive Education.
