Yard Assistant – Altus Oil & Gas Malaysia (Kemaman Base)

Position Summary

The Yard Assistant supports onshore supply base operations at the Kemaman yard by assisting with materials handling, storage, equipment organization, and ensuring smooth day-to-day yard operations under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing materials and equipment in the yard (e.g., offshore containers, lifting gear, fabrication materials).
• Help load, unload, and dispatch items, ensuring proper handling to meet safety and quality standards.
• Conduct general housekeeping and maintain cleanliness and organization within the yard area.
• Track inventory and assist with basic yard record-keeping (e.g., materials movement logs, loading records).
• Support waste management and disposal, following relevant environmental and HSSE guidelines.
• Perform visual inspections on stored equipment for damage or deterioration and report issues to supervisors.
• Coordinate with logistics, procurement, or operations teams to facilitate smooth materials flow and timely deliveries.
• Assist in equipment preparation for mobilization or storage (e.g., secured packaging).
• Comply with all safety procedures, including PPE usage, hazard identification, and JSA briefings.
• Participate in daily safety or toolbox talks when required.

Qualifications

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)

; diploma in logistics, operations, or related field preferred.
