Job Overview
The Programme Co-ordinator for Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative aspects of the OSH degree programme. This includes curriculum development, student advising, accreditation compliance, and collaboration with faculty and industry partners to ensure programme excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Programme Management
Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the OSH degree curriculum
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (IOSH and JKKP or relevant local bodies)Coordinate course scheduling, faculty assignments, and teaching resourcesMonitor student progress, retention, and graduation rates, implementing interventions as neededStudent Support & AdvisingServe as the primary academic advisor for OSH students, guiding them on course selection, career pathways, and certifications.
Address student concerns, academic grievances, and provide mentorshipOrganise orientation sessions, workshops, and career development programs for OSH students.Faculty & Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with faculty to enhance teaching methodologies and programme outcomes
Liaise with industry professionals, and accreditation bodies to align the programme with workforce needsFacilitate partnerships with organisations for internships, research, and employment opportunitiesAdministrative & Compliance DutiesPrepare reports for institutional and external accreditation reviews
Manage programme budgets, resources, and grant applications (if applicable)Ensure adherence to institutional policies and regulatory requirements in OSH educationProgramme Promotion and OutreachRepresent the OSH programme at recruitment events, conferences, and industry meetings.
Develop marketing materials and engage in student recruitment strategiesPromote research initiatives and encourage student participation in OSH related projectsSkills and Experiences
A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in the relevant field; AND
A minimum of five years of relevant academic and research experience; ORA minimum of five years of relevant industrial experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
