Overview
Senior Risks Manager, Risks & Controls (Permanent) M / F – Malaysia. CACEIS Malaysia has been a cornerstone of asset servicing since 2008, located in IOI City, Putrajaya, employing over 1,200 professionals, providing services to institutional clients across Europe. Services include Custody & Cash Clearing, Fund Administration, Fund Distribution, Master Data Services, Market Solutions, Group Invoicing, Reconciliations and Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions. The Risks & Controls team supports 1LoD business units, technology and support functions by providing management with informed opinions on the effectiveness of controls to mitigate material risks.
Responsibilities
- Challenge the business / functions on their understanding of risks and adequacy of controls, including proactive risk management.
- Review and provide assurance that Operational Risk management practices are effective, meet enterprise requirements, and are followed consistently across the organisation.
- Consult and advise on the design of risk management practices to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Perform root-cause deep dives on Operational Risk Events, identify process and control gaps, validate action plan proposals for risk mitigation and governance.
- Analyse, challenge and report an independent point of view resulting in an independent opinion on the Operational Risk profile of assigned risk activities, and challenge the Business / Support Functions on risk and controls status across risk activities regionally.
Qualifications & Experience
Geographical area : Asia, Malaysia.City : Putrajaya (IOI City).Education : Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent; relevant university degree preferably finance or business related.Level of minimal experience : 6-10 years.Experience : Preferably 8-10 years in the financial industry; or 6-8 years relevant risk experience. Comprehensive business knowledge – structure, processes, procedures and technology.Required skills : Strong written and oral communication; ability to present results to senior management; experience with Operational Risk Framework, Risk & Control Self Assessments, thematic reviews, control testing, risk reporting, event and root cause analysis; strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management; analytical ability; collaboration across jurisdictions and functions; risk monitoring, control and mitigation; facilitation and communication skills.Technical skills : Nice-to-have risk qualification; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; multi-tasking; analytical mindset; ability to deal with ambiguity; business understanding for sound decisions; collaboration across teams; impact and influence at senior management level.Benefits
