Overview

Senior Data Platform Engineer responsible for DevOps, cloud and automation initiatives within platform services squads for Infrastructure & Database Administrators. Focus on modernizing, proactive monitoring of IT core infrastructure performance, maintenance, support and capacity planning, and end-to-end ownership of multiple big data and database platform technologies, orchestration tooling and runtimes.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership in the management of multiple big data and database platform technologies, orchestration tooling and runtimes.
• Lead data-driven decision-making by defining KPI and metrics to measure Big Data Storage Platform performance, team performance and evolving metrics continuously.
• Contribute to Roadmap & Strategy for Data Platform with focus on Regional and non-Regional Platforms, focusing on Teradata (with Vantage), Oracle, Big Data Platforms (Open Source, Commodity and BDA) and object storage, among other future roadmaps.
• Ensure Platform Security with Data at Rest and in Motion, maintain UAM and appropriate controls on PII.
• Ensure execution of technology / product roadmaps with top quality and clear SLAs.
• Align IT Core Infrastructure services with evolving needs, capabilities, capacity, and determine whether cloud or on-premises technologies are best suited for the bank.
• Ensure effective platform maintenance, including performance tuning and storage optimization opportunities.
• Promote and implement software configuration management practices to support DevOps adoption.
• Manage inventory for all environments across platforms to ensure effective utilization of platform resources.
