Job descriptionConduct engineering site survey to plan equipment and interconnection locations at the site and connection to the existing electrical system. Develop, supervise, and / or review designs of residential, C&I and Utility scale solar systems, including but not limited to the electrical, structural and mechanical aspects of the projects. Work with design team to confirm engineering design to decide DC equipment and AC interconnection locations at the site and connections to the existing electrical system. Preparing the engineering budget, project schedules and project control budgets for projects. Prepare project estimates, budget, schedules and execution plans. Liaise and manage sub-contractors for their scope of works, schedules and monitoring workmanship qualities of subcontractors during installation. Work with internal and / or external parties such as TNB, consulting firms, local authorities on licensing matters and documentation. Liaise and coordinate with TNB HQ & local authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection of solar PV system. Review deliverables at project milestones to ensure the project is within timeline and budget. Prepare and submit reports on the progress and status of the projects. Implement best practices and safe work procedure throughout the project on site. Perform other project engineering and project management related duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in electrical maintenance, construction projects, or related fields
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering majoring in Electrical
- Basic electrical knowledge is essential
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint for reporting; experience in Power Automate is a plus
- Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadline when required
- Self-driven team player with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
