IPQC Engineer

To oversee in-process quality control operations, ensuring all production processes comply with company standards, customer requirements, and IATF 16949 regulations. This role drives continuous improvement, supervises the inspection team, and ensures effective quality documentation and communication across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Goals & Performance

Drive efforts to achieve quality objectives defined by the Quality Department Manager.

Monitor, analyze, and improve quality performance indicators to ensure consistent achievement of departmental and company quality goals.

Take full responsibility for meeting quality targets and KPI set by the Quality Manager.

Process Audit & Compliance

Execute routine internal process audits to verify compliance with company procedures, customer standards, and IATF 16949 requirements.

Follow up on audit findings and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure all process inspections are carried out in accordance with approved procedures and standards.

Non‑Conforming Product Management

Manage non‑conforming products and ensure no defective items proceed to the next process until corrective actions are taken.

Coordinate with relevant departments to contain, correct, and prevent recurrence of process non‑conformities.

Continuous Improvement

Implement and sustain continuous improvement plans in alignment with quality system requirements and customer expectations.

Lead and support root cause analysis, problem‑solving, and preventive actions using quality tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).

Training & Competency Development

Develop and conduct training and competency assessments for inspectors to ensure effective inspection and judgment capability.

Manage and maintain all training, qualification, and assessment records systematically in the quality management system.

Team Leadership & Supervision

Supervise and guide IPQC personnel, including line leaders and assistant engineers, to ensure effective execution of inspection and reporting activities.

Motivate and evaluate team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain high‑quality performance.

Document & Process Control

Ensure quality‑related documents from Quality Control, Production, Engineering, and Maintenance departments are effectively maintained and controlled.

Develop and update inspection plans, SOPs, and quality procedures in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.

Ensure all employees follow documentation standards and perform according to defined procedures.

Customer Support & Communication

Assist the After‑Sales Service Department in addressing customer needs and resolving quality issues.

Communicate customer standards, complaints, and feedback effectively to inspectors and relevant departments.

Information Security & Compliance

Comply with the company’s information security policies, confidentiality requirements, and data protection regulations.

Ensure that quality documentation and records are securely maintained and properly handled.

Requirements

Education : Diploma or Degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience : Minimum 2–3 years in quality control or assurance, preferably in PCB or electronics manufacturing.

Knowledge :

IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

PCB manufacturing process and quality control standards (IPC‑A‑600 preferred).

Quality tools (SPC, 8D, 5 Why, MSA).

Skills :

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving mindset.

Proficient in MS Office, data analysis, and quality management systems.
